Earn a credential to care for children ages birth to three with the Infant/Toddler Credential certificate.
About the Program
The Infant/Toddler Credential certificate prepares students to care for and educate young children. This certificate focuses on children ages birth to three. Emphasis is placed on relationship development, guiding behaviors and preparing activities.
What You'll Learn
Students in the Infant/Toddler Credential program gain knowledge of the mental, physical and emotional development of infants and toddlers. They focus on building family relationships, guiding behaviors and being sensitive to the needs of children of young ages. Students gain hands-on knowledge by participating in a practicum field placement.
Students are required to prepare a portfolio at the end of this course. Students will then submit the portfolio to the instructor, who will award the certificate. Students may also apply to the Wisconsin Registry for the Wisconsin Professional Credential for Infant/Toddler Caregivers.
Scholarships for the Infant/Toddler Credential Certificate are available through the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (WECA) T.E.A.C.H. program.
