About the Program

Moraine Park Technical College offers a unique training opportunity to potential students through a tuition-free short-term certificate program. Participants will gain entry-level knowledge and skills in welding. In addition to skill development, the program includes a paid internship to get hands-on experience. 

Financial Aid

There is no charge for tuition. No income qualifications required. However, a $30 program admission fee is required upon admittance into the boot camp.

Boot Camp Criteria

Anyone can apply to participate in boot camps. Individuals must attend an information and testing session. They are required to attain minimum scores in Reading and Math on the Accuplacer as well as take a series of Mechanical Aptitude tests for the participating businesses.
