- 22 undergraduate credits in a regular semester
- 12 undergraduate credits in a summer session
The Student Information System prevents students from exceeding the maximum credit hour limit at registration.
Limit with Special Permission
A student’s academic load may not exceed 22 credits in a regular semester or 12 credits in a summer session unless unusual circumstances exist and the student has been granted special permission by the academic advisor. The academic advisor would notify the Records Office to increase the maximum hours allowed for registration. Once the maximum hours have been increased, the student would then be able to register for that term as usual.
