The Associate of Science (AS) degree is a university transfer program that focuses on completing general education courses that apply to four-year degrees. The curriculum covers a variety of topics with an emphasis on math and science. Transfer agreements lead the way to seamless transfer to a four-year college or university with junior status. The program is also a great option for students who know they want a degree, but aren’t exactly sure which academic program is right for them.

About the Program

The Associate of Science degree offers the general education courses with a greater emphasis on science and mathematics. Graduate with an associate of science degree and transfer your credits to a four-year university and pursue a bachelor’s degree.

The AS degree is a good fit for students who may wish to pursue majors in areas such as Computer Science, Engineering, Health Science, and Pre-Professional Medical (dentistry, pharmacy, physical/occupational therapy, veterinary medicine). These are just a few examples.
