The Associate of Arts (AA) degree is a university transfer program that focuses on completing general education courses that apply to four-year degrees. The curriculum covers a variety of topics with an emphasis on social sciences and humanities. Transfer agreements lead the way to seamless transfer to a four-year college or university with junior status. The program is also a great option for students who know they want a degree, but aren’t exactly sure which academic program is right for them.

About the Program

The Associate of Arts degree offers the general education courses with a greater concentration on social sciences and humanities. Graduate with an associate of arts degree and transfer your credits to a four-year university and pursue a bachelor’s degree.

The AA degree is a good fit for students who are interested in majors such as Accounting, Business Management, Criminal Justice, Education, Political Science, and Psychology.  These are just a few examples.
