How to Apply for Admissions
If you have any questions or need help with the process, please contact us at admissions@morainepark.edu.
- Choose Major/Degree
Choose your program. Review the campus location and program details. - Apply Online
Complete the online admissions application. There’s a $30 non-refundable, one-time fee. When applying, you’ll create an account to view needed steps and progress toward becoming an MPTC student!
Important:- If you’re applying for a certificate, apply online and wait for instructions. Other steps may not be required.
- If you’re an international student, review international admissions requirements before you apply.
- If you anticipate needing any disability-related accommodation, please complete this request and continue with the application process for admissions.
- Submit Transcripts
Submit your official high school or GED/HSED transcript. If you have an associate degree or higher, we can use your official college transcript instead. - Placement Testing
Submit ACT scores, GED test scores (earned since 2014), or take the Accuplacer at MPTC. If you earned a 3.0 or higher GPA in high school, or have attained an associate degree or higher, we waive this requirement.
Students will be able to discuss interpretation of test scores, pre-requisites, and appropriate course placement with their program advisor.
Note: Due to CDC and safer at home guidelines, MPTC has limited on-campus Accuplacer sessions. If you have high speed internet and a computer with a video camera, we encourage you to take the Accuplacer utilizing our virtual proctor option.
Please contact us at admissions@morainepark.edu for details about testing. - Additional Requirements
Complete a background check if required. We’ll provide details about the process after you apply. If a background check is required, it is stated on the program page.
After accepted to a program, you’ll meet with your program advisor. This meeting varies by program. Some programs require a Program Advisor Meeting; some programs require a Field Day; some programs require a combination of both. Your advisor will email you details and an invitation to schedule this.
Make sure you review the New Student Checklist. You’ll learn how to register, pay for class and more!
Note: The Nursing, Respiratory, Radiography and Surgical Technology programs provisionally accept students as “pre-core” status. Once specific courses, grades and other requirements are met, “pre-core” students are eligible to petition to start core courses. (Click program above for details about the Petition Process.)
