How to Use Military Connected Student Benefits

If you are planning to use veteran education benefits at Moraine Park Technical College please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our Student Veterans Specialist at (920) 924-3489 or veterans@morainepark.edu to set up an initial consultation about benefits and the enrollment process. In accordance with 34 CFR 668, Moraine Park does not engage in incentive compensation or high-pressure recruitment of military students.
    1. Bring all military documents that are applicable to you (i.e. certificate of eligibility, DD214s, NOBE, KICKER, etc.).
    2. If you are a dependent, some benefits will need other documentation. Please contact us for more information.
  2. All Veterans should supply the college with their military transcripts.
    1. Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy transcripts can be requested through JST: https://jst.doded.mil/.
    2. Air Force transcripts can be requested through: http://www.airuniversity.af.mil/Barnes/CCAF/.
  3. After you enroll in classes, complete a Veterans Certification Request for the Federal Benefit you are using. 
  4. It is strongly advised to apply for Financial Aid along with your Federal VA benefits. For questions regarding benefits or financial aid, contact the School Certifying Official at (920) 924-3210 or veterans@morainepark.edu. For more information on the process, refer to Moraine Park Financial Aid.
  5. Attention Returning Students: Remember to complete the Veterans Certification Request after registering for classes each semester. This is required in order to process your veteran benefits.
